Historic Revelry is a hospitality and spirits industry- focused agency specializing in content creation. Founded by two former bartenders, we aim to bring the highest quality multimedia content to the public to highlight, promote, recap and champion those leading the way within the hospitality industry. We work with accounts locally and globally spanning many different brands, missions, and voices. We’re looking to hire a Social Media Manager who is excited to join a team working in this field, and who can help us scale and learn what else is possible.

We mostly work from home, exceptions being on-location filming and production, client presentations, or all hands meetings

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
about the role
As a Social Media Manager, you will be designing and executing our social and content marketing strategy to amplify a growing list of programs, brands, events, educational opportunities, and more. You will help us fulfill our mission of continuing to be the go-to agency for spirits-focused content by developing relatable content, establishing friendly relationships with our following, and engaging with the spirits and hospitality community. You will manage our content calendars, play an active role in brainstorms, and help to organize and strategize.
Contract position, part-time
Min. 15hrs per week

Reports to Historic Revelry Project Manager
Paid for hourly work, rate negotiable
responsibilities
Post and engage across social media accounts and channels
Research and implement the latest social media trends
Create and manage robust social media calendars
Understand the voice and vision of current brand pages/roles of contributors
Plan, develop and consult on social media campaigns
Analyze, forecast, and track campaign performance
Develop a strategy for current and future months
Define and track social media KPIs
Manage and engage with social media communities
Work with the content team to develop and oversee content for accounts/channels
experience/skills
Required
3+ years of experience in content writing and/or communications including external and internal communication (i.e. blog posts, internal newsletters, Instagram captions, etc.)
3+ years of experience with social media management
In-depth knowledge and an up-to-date understanding of core social media platforms with the ability to use the appropriate channels to tell stories and contribute to the brand's community
Possesses strong self-awareness with the ability to overcome mistakes, obstacles, and failures with a positive attitude
A keen eye for aesthetics and details
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
Excellent organization skills
Ability to prioritize and execute
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Preferred
Can send ideas up, as well as execute those that are delivered. Can build a plan in full before notes or builds are applied by the rest of the team.
Active reader, podcast listener, and researcher of the latest trends. Can parse through what is noise, and the trends that have traction. Ahead of the curve with content production, and not chasing styles that are on the way out.
Current or past work in the field of hospitality. A basic or intermediate understanding of the production of spirits is helpful but not necessary.
Graphic design experience would be helpful but is not a requirement.
